Kathryne Nguyen

Hello, my name is Kathryne Nguyen. I have been a librarian and technology teacher for over 25 years. I am a natural organizer and my greatest passion is organizing and archiving the digital photos, videos, and stories of my life. I am also a tech trend watcher. As I have seen technology trends come and go, I like to promote programs that are easy to use and have staying power.

When the new Google Sites came out a few years ago, I heard angels sing as I knew this was the solution for archiving my digital media! Google Sites is free, part of my Google account, so easy to use, and the best place to archive my favorite photos, videos and stories for my loved ones to enjoy for years to come. I have complete control over how I organize them and who I share them with. There are no ads and I can archive tons of photos and videos this way.

As I started making Google Sites about my life, I came up with the name Digital Memoirs, and it became a journey of self discovery. As I went back into my past, not only was it enjoyable and meaningful, it allowed me to see my life in a much more positive light. It became very healing. As I started sharing with my family and friends, it became the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

I want to share this feeling of joy and accomplishment with you! I know many people are overwhelmed with how much digital media they have and feel guilty for not doing anything with it. I want to help you transform your overwhelm into organization and turn your guilt into gratitude. Learn how to organize and archive the digital media of your life with Google Sites called:

Digital Memoirs!

I came up with the idea of Digital Memoirs after I discovered the book “Spark Joy” by Marie Kondo. After my children grew up, it was time to transition into a new way of finding joy in my life! I became obsessed with Marie Kondo! I read her books, watched her Netflix shows, tidied my home, and even got my KonMari® Consultant Certification!!!

Most people tidy their home by focusing on what they want to get rid of, but the KonMari Method® focuses on what you want to keep! It is a completely different way of approaching your home and your life! Instead of focusing on the negative and feeling bad about how much stuff you have, you focus on the positive things in your life. When you start doing this, you can more easily say goodbye to all the rest and be thankful it was once part of your life. When you have gratitude in your heart and spend more time visualizing what you want, you start making wonderful changes! You start giving yourself permission to be your true self!!!

In the Tidying Festival, we go through your home in category order from easiest to more difficult. This is so you get better along the way. By the time you get to the sentimental category which is the most difficult, you will have practiced on all the other categories and you will be able to do it-it’s like magic! Family photos and videos are in the sentimental category and with Digital Memoirs you will turn this overwhelming project into something that will make you overjoyed! Helping others with this important work is a dream come true for me. Please let me guide you along your journey to finding joy through tidying with a Tidying Festival and Digital Memoirs!

I think a lesson we have all learned during the pandemic is that life is precious and we need to do a better job treasuring it for future generations. I am here to help you take action on this important work. At least take the time to get started. You will be so glad you did! Start fresh with a tidied home that you love, and organized media for future generations to enjoy for years to come!

Organize your legacy!
